Coming up soon:

Wednesday 15 May, 9.45 – 1.45pm: Annual Christian Aid Market

Come to the United Church hall for the annual market - stalls galore, coffee, tea and lunches.

The event will be opened by the Mayor, Councillor David Taylor.

This is part of a series of events for Christian Aid Week 2019 – you can download a summary, or explore the details for all the week’s activities, including how to volunteer for the door-to-door and street collections.

Sunday 19 May, 3pm: ‘ . . . . gathering notes in May’

Heather Reed and Brenda Stephenson will be putting on a concert featuring piano duets, singing and flute solos in aid of FND Hope UK – an important charity supporting people with Functional Neurological Disorder.

You may be interested to find out more about FND, and the challenges it presents, by watching this report on local resident Kate Bidwell. It first aired on BBC's South Today last month, and features interviews with Kate and health experts.

Songs of Praise

Wednesday 29 May, 10.30 – 10.55: Songs of Praise Market Day Service (led by Peter Jenner)

Following the success of last year’s Songs of Praise services on a Wednesday Market Day, we are repeating the idea on 29 May.

If you have a favourite hymn and would like it included in the service, fill in a Songs of Praise slip and place it in the box in the foyer marked ‘Songs of Praise’. The box and forms will be available from May 12 – 26.

We may not have time to sing all the hymns suggested – so we’ll keep these for another service.
