Coming up soon:

Monday 18 April – Sunday 21 April: Easter Services and Events

The United Church Dorchester invites everyone to a series of services (including the Walk of Witness on Good Friday) that lead up to one of the most important days of the church year - Easter Sunday. Some of these are taking place at the church, while others are taking place across Dorchester.

Don’t forget two other forthcoming events for Easter: the Journey to the Empty Tomb at the United Church (in South Street, Dorchester), and Easter Forest Praise at the Surestart Children's Centre (next to Sunnydays Nursery in Poundbury) - see below for further details.

Monday 15 – Saturday 20 April, 11.00 – 3.00pm: Journey to the Empty Tomb

Join us at the United Church Dorchester, on an interactive journey to the heart of the Easter Story – a time to reflect on the true meaning of Easter.

Everyone will be made very welcome: this is an opportunity to reflect, respond, and take something with you.

Thursday 18 April, 10.30am - 11.45am: Easter Forest Praise

Family-friendly fun, relaxed play and praise at the Surestart Children's Centre (next to Sunnydays Nursery in Poundbury) - children, parents and carers are all welcome: for more details, please see the News page.

Although this is not an event taking place at the church, it is organised by members of the United Church Dorchester.

Wednesdays in Lent, starting on 6th March, 12.00 – 1.30pm: Lent Lunches

This year’s Lent Lunches are being held in the United Church Hall every Wednesday, beginning on 6th March. Your £5 will secure a ploughman’s lunch, dessert and tea or coffee.

The lunches will provide support to Christian Aid.

Saturday 27 April, 9.00am - 4.30pm: Southampton District Methodist Church Synod

The new Dorset South and West Circuit will be hosting the next District Synod at the United Church in Dorchester.

Volunteers are required to cover reception duties, supply of teas / coffees through the day, and to help with setting up on the Friday evening, and clearing away on the Saturday evening.
