Requests for help

World Church Mission Boxes
If any UCD members would like a collection box for our World Church Mission, please speak to Colin Gannaway (UCD Treasurer), as we would be delighted to have new contributors to this important part of our church life.

Coffee Lounge
Help is needed once a month with serving coffees and welcoming visitors to the Coffee Lounge on Tuesday morning. It is a pleasant way to spend the morning and a wonderful way to meet other members and visitors to Dorchester. Help is needed from 9 am to 12.30, it is truly not arduous - please see Elizabeth Haynes for more information.

Wednesday Maket Service Stewarding
Help is needed, from the New Year, with Stewarding the Wednesday Market Service.  This is once a month, from 10.15 to 11.15, though if there were more volunteers it could be less often.  This is a simple but important service, giving a warm welcome to our visitors, it is also a good way to meet other members and outside visitors to the church. Please see Elizabeth Haynes for more information.

Journey to the Stable
We will be setting up the Journey in the Church and the Quiet Room on 6th December at 2pm and taking it down on 16th December after 3pm.  We need help with the setting up, school visits and public openings.  If you can help in any way please see Peter Jenner, Diana Leeming, Val Gould or Wendy Hilton.  There will be also be a rota (with time slots) on the notice board in the main hall for people to sign if they can help to steward the public openings.

Family Fun Days
On 19th and 21st December, we will be opening the church and foyer from 10.30am - 2.00pm for families to come and relax and have a drink. We will have toys, crafts including icing biscuits, a gazebo for an “Are you in the picture?” opportunity, plus baby changing and feeding facilities. We will need help with this so please see Peter Jenner, Diana Leeming, Val Gould or Wendy Hilton.
