Saturday 22 March, 9.00am – 1.00pm: Oddfellows Coffee & Games Morning The Oddfellows are a very long-standing, Dorchester-based friendly society. As part of our activities we organise various social events and one of these is a new idea to try a coffee morning with bring and buy sale and the opportunity to play board games. If successful we will look to run this again and even possibly make it a regular event. You do not need to be a member to attend and there will be no pressure join but there will be information and members on hand to talk about our organisation. A friendly Society is for the benefit of all its members as well as the wider community. The name Oddfellows really stems from the Medieval trade guilds when all those whose professions did not fit into one of the other guilds became known as ‘the Oddfellows’.
